Nashville

Families flock to Nashville for several reasons, including the reasonable cost of living, beautiful weather, and excellent schools. For expectant parents, the Nashville area offers loads of options for birth facilities, childbirth education, labor and delivery support, and breastfeeding support.

Once baby has arrived, the city is filled with fun spots to explore: the best farmer’s market around, a large zoo, a nature center, gardens, and parks, playgrounds, fountains, and splash pads. Indoors, the city boasts a terrific adventure science center and public libraries with children’s activities.

Nashville has a rich culture and plenty of opportunities as children get older: theater camps, music lessons, sports leagues, science camps, and more. Though Nashville isn’t small, it’s a great spot to make friends, often ranking high (or even first) on the lists of friendliest cities in the country.
