Fences – Presented by ASFA’s Theatre Dept. & STEEL MAGIC Theatre
February 22 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm CST
In honor of Black History Month, The Alabama School of Fine Arts Theatre Arts Dept. and STEEL MAGIC Theatre present “Fences” by August Wilson – a Pulitzer Prize winning play.
“Fences” takes place in 1957 Pittsburgh, PA. The play follows Troy Maxson, a 53 year old man struggling to provide for and protect his wife and son.
Filled with tremendous love & struggle, laughter, and gritty realism, “Fences” is an African-American story that breaks barriers… with heart & eternal humanness.
